## Clinical approach

- **Evidence-based**, following **NICE** and **British Menopause Society (BMS)** guidelines.
- Recommends **body-identical HRT** where possible — the BMS gold standard.
- **Does not prescribe** unregulated, compounded **bio-identical HRT**, in line with the BMS position.
- Considers **testosterone replacement** when clinically indicated, prescribed off-licence per BMS guidance, with baseline blood levels and ongoing monitoring.
- Discusses **HRT alternatives** (non-hormonal medication and lifestyle approaches) for patients where HRT is contraindicated or not preferred.
- Uses **Nationwide Pathology** for blood tests, with 150+ UK collection centres and home phlebotomy available.
- Video consultations are delivered via **Semble**, a secure clinical platform.
- Sends a **post-consultation letter** by email summarising recommendations; copied to the patient's GP with consent.
- Does **not** fit the Mirena coil in-house, but refers to Dr Natalie Summerhill in Altrincham or the patient's GP.
- Does **not** provide emergency care; patients are directed to their GP, NHS 111 or 999 in emergencies.
