Important information about requesting your repeat prescription
To ensure safe prescribing, repeat prescriptions require the following pre-requisites:
- Current patients only. Medication can issued to women actively under the care of Manchester Menopause Hive.
- Consultation within the past 12 months. If you haven’t had a new patient or follow up consultation in the last 12 months, a follow-up consultation is required to review your current health and treatment requirements before a prescription can be issued.
- Three-month review. If you’ve started or changed treatment recently, your three-month review appointment needs to be completed first to ensure that it’s safe and appropriate to continue prescribing.
Testosterone monitoring
If you’re prescribed testosterone, you’ll need a blood test approximately 2–3 months after starting treatment. Once your levels and symptoms are stable, blood tests need to be repeated annually as a minimum to ensure safe and appropriate prescribing.

Progesterone prescribing
If your GP is prescribing your progesterone, please include this information on your prescription request form. This helps us ensure safe prescribing and avoid delays in processing your request.
Prescription processing time
Please allow up to 3 working days for prescriptions to be reviewed and processed.
Prescription fees
‘From 1st October 2026, repeat prescriptions issued outside of a New or Follow up Appointment will be subject to a £33 prescription fee. This is separate to the cost of the medication itself.

What happens next:
Your prescription will be reviewed by one of our doctors and a prescription issued if safe and appropriate to do so within 3 working days.
The prescription will be sent to CloudRX who will be in touch to arrange payment and delivery details. They will arrange of the medication to your chosen address.
